Last week (January 31st) IMER Junior organized a lunch talk where Mary-Anne Karlsen (former IMER Bergen leader) discussed her project Contested Knowledges in and through Asylum Litigation: (ASYKNOW), which she has been awarded an ERC Starting Grant. This is a highly acclaimed award given by the EU to promising young researchers who have excelled in their careers, and it amounts to EUR 1.5 million. During the lunch talk we got to learn more about Mary-Anne’s experience in applying for grants in the field of migration studies. We also had time for questions and fruitful discussions during the talk.
You can read more about Marry-Anne and her project here.
Again, congratulations and we hope to arrange similar events in the future!
